- Development of an eLearning platform for adults with disabilities (mental health challenges, mild to moderate developmental intellectual disabilities, seniors with cognitive impairment and autism spectrum disorder) on therapeutic gardening to improve their skills, key competences, socio-labour integration and their quality of life in an enjoyable and effective way, thus improving their learning opportunities.
- Improvement in the wellbeing of the trainees, developing a sense of purpose and achievement, as well as in the clients using their services offered to greener (nature-friendly) their job places, houses, hospitals, residential homes, healthcare centres, schools, restaurants, public/private spaces, etc.
- Empowerment of the people with fewer opportunities due to disability by giving them the role of green-caregivers and increase their autonomy by improving their job opportunities in an emerging green sector.
- Awareness raising about environmental challenges in the target group with a very handy and comprehensible approach.
- Increasing the awareness about the environmental challenges we are facing and about the benefits of natural environments in our health. We need a bigger eco-minded responsibility in the whole society.
- Creation of innovative and friendly places to learn, to teach, to improve yourself, to get in touch with others, etc. A therapeutic garden is a place where you can train your senses, your memory, where you can go to relax, to develop fine motor skills, deeper concentration, increase stamina, improve the hand-eye coordination as well as a sense of independence and control.
